We are looking for a AOSP Developers (System UI) (m/f/d) for our branch office in Ulm.
Job description:
- You research, evaluate and integrate new technologies, software libraries and frameworks.
- You work in an intercultural agile Android software development team.
- You extend the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) with your contributions and implement cross layer functions within vertical teams.
- You take responsibility in a technical domain like audio, car services, media, system UI, or phone.
- You help us to create our products in the best quality through pair programming, code reviews, implementation of automated unit-/integration tests and documentation.
- You realize your implementation based on the latest deliveries from Google and market leading SoC suppliers.
- You propose solutions meeting the needs of our customers and bring them into our next generation of Android Automotive OS.
Required Know-How / Experience:
- You hold a university degree in Computer Sciences, Automotive Engineering or similar.
- You convince us with your background in design and development of either Kotlin/Java/Python/C/C++ or Rust including requirements analysis, estimation, implementation and testing.
- You feel comfortable in software development under Linux distributions and have experience in using command line tools and scripting languages.
- Ideally you already have experience in AOSP framework development for embedded systems.
- You are able to work independently and you proactively develop solutions.
- Your profile is completed by fluent communication skills in English and German, written and verbally.
Basic assignment conditions:
Place of execution is at our Branch Office in Ulm.
Hourly rate shall be calculated around 75,00 EUR (based on 40 h/week).
The timeline for the assignment is planned for 18 months.
Hard- and Software will be provided by EB.
1/3 mobile work will be possible.
